DP World Australia Industrial Action

Dear Customer,

Greetings!

Recently, the Maritime Union of Australia announced a new round of protected industrial action at DP World’s Australian terminals. DP World has stated that this industrial action has caused significant delays and disruptions in the import and export supply chains in Australia. While unloading a vessel typically takes up to two days, the schedule has now been extended to seven to eight days due to the ongoing industrial action.

Maersk has been informed that DP World Australia has received notices from the Maritime Union of Australia (CFMMEU) regarding additional protected industrial actions at each Australian terminal of DP World before November 20, 2023. According to the notice, port operations in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle, and other ports will be affected. Australian customers with recent shipments are advised to be aware of potential logistics delays.
